School is in session Wednesday March 1st at all schools with power.  Start times and bus pick up times are 2 hours later due to weather and road conditions. Casterlin schools remain closed.  Even though Miranda power is out currently, we expect the power to be on for school tomorrow.  If anything changes, we will update you in the morning.

Now accepting nominations for your unsung hero! Is there a SHJUSD employee who should be recognized for their outstanding service? Let us know! Submit your nomination by the end of each month. We are accepting nominations all year long!

All Southern Humboldt schools will continue to be closed Tuesday, February 28 due to weather and unsafe road conditions. SHUSD will send you an update on Tuesday afternoon. Stay safe and warm.

All SoHum schools will be in session tomorrow, Fri. Jan. 6. Elementary schools and buses will be on their regular schedule. South Fork High School and Miranda Junior High have a late start at 10:00. South Fork High School and Miranda Junior High morning Bus pick-up will be 2 hours later than usual. Please, check your email and the sohumusd.com website for more detailed information, and watch for text and online updates. Please remember to dress students warmly.

This notice is to inform SoHum USD families and staff of school closures due to extreme weather conditions. The Storm is expected to peak tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 4th. Schools will remain closed Thursday and are expected to open Friday, January 6th. Please stay home if possible until the storm calms down. PG&E does not anticipate being able to restore power until sometime tomorrow. The School District will send out more updates as needed.
